Oboe Concerto in F Major no 2 by Johann Christian Bach
Johann Christian Bach was the 11th and youngest son of Johann Sebastian Bach. He is considered to be composer of the Classical era, rather than the Baroque period. He is sometimes called the "London Bach" or the "English Bach" because he migrated to England, where he was known to his friends as John Bach. He was an innovative composer who influenced the work of the young Mozart. His style is not very similar to his father's, and that is probably because J S was 50 when Christian was born, and died when Christian was only 15. He received much of his musical training from his older brother, Carl Phillip Emanuel Bach. I have an oboe concerto and a sweet, sweet bassoon concerto here for your listening pleasure.
